The theme for the 2009 AHETEMS Design Competition is adaptive technologies.  Teams of Hispanic college students are strongly encouraged to enter the competition, which requires teams to design, develop and (re)built any artifact that can be effectively utilized and has calibrated efficiency to help individuals, who are physically disabled.

The competition includes up to $1,000 in support of the design for the top ten finalist, scholarships, travel awards to the SHPE Conference, and a chance at $5,000 to patent the design.  More Information.
