Internships

The AHETEMS Foundation currently manages two internship programs for Hispanic undergraduate students, who are U.S. citizens, attending an accredited college or university in the United States or Puerto Rico. Please follow the links below for more information on each program and to complete the application.

The AHETEMS.NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) Internship places qualified students at the NASA facility in Huntsville, Alabama for a ten-week internship conducting state-of-the-art research during the summer. Deadline: February 1.

The SHPE/National Nuclear Security Adminstration (NNSA) Internship Program provides Hispanic U.S. citizens, who are undergraduate students or master’s students with challenging, hands-on, educational opportunities in the area of the nation’s nuclear weapons. Deadline: February 1.

AHETEMS has partnered with the U.S. Department of Energy Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI) to create an opportunity for highly talented Hispanic undergraduate students pursuing a science, engineering or math degree. who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents, with a minimum 3.0 GPA, in a 10-week, paid, summer internships at one of six national Department of Energy (DOE) national laboratories.
