Farewell Kimo!

The AHETEMS Foundation extends its deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Jaime Escalante, who passed away earlier today, Tues. Mar. 30. Mr. Escalante was not only a celebrated agent of change but a quintessential man, who motivated our Hispanic youth to their academic best, and instilled a thirst for learning among those he touched, especially here in Dallas/Forth and Phoenix, AZ.

Profe, thank you for sharing your ganas so that we could rise above any challenge and be the resilient sons and daughters in a socio-educational stratified system riddled with persistent deep-rooted non-meritorious behaviors that seek to constantly impede and burden the Latino path to success.

Thank you for being who you were and sharing who you were with us. God Bless You!!
