Graduate Institute

2007

The Graduate Institute is an annual two-day program hosting a series of graduate-level seminars addressing issues that directly impact the academic, non-cognitive, professional and future faculty development of Latino/a U.S. and international graduate students. The added intent of the Institute is to generate a support network for Latino/a graduate students.

Past seminars have focused on writing an effective curriculum vitae, the academic job search, entrepreneurship, financial investment, opportunities for non-academic research, negotiating the thesis/dissertation writing process, nurturing the advisor/mentor relationship, post-doctoral opportunities, and graduate funding.
